I recently received a cute craft book called Crafty Mama. This book has so many adorable and easy crafts. I decided to try the No-Sew Swanky Blanky. What you will need:
To start just lay your fleece out with the wrong sides facing each other. Cut off any uneven sides, but it does not need to be perfect. You can use the yard stick to help with this. My husband bought our yard stick at Home Depot for $.67. Don’t spend the $8 for it at your local craft store. You will want to make sure the stretch of both pieces of fabric are going the same direction.
Next use your yard stick and fabric marker to cute out 5 inch squares from each corner.
Then take your yard stick and make a mark with your fabric marker every inch. I think I measured every inch on the first blanket I made, but now I just eye ball it. The cuts don’t have to be perfect, the important thing is to just make sure they are 5 inches long. If not the knots will be difficult to tie.
Cut all four sides before you start tieing.
The last step is to just start tieing knots. For my knots I take the two pieces of fringe together, make a loop by wrapping them around my finger, and then pull the ends through the loop.
After all the knots are tied it is ready for your little one.
