Spouses Christmas Countdown

This year I wanted to make something extra special for my husband and found this cute idea for a Christmas countdown. The cards took a little extra time to make, but I think it is totally worth it. I used my 12X12 Christmas paper stacks, buttons, ribbon, clothes pins, glue, and a paper cutter.

Using Egg Shells in the Garden

My new obsession lately has been gardening, and let me tell you I have gotten really carried away. I am growing a large variety of vegetables for our fall garden including two types of tomatoes, romaine lettuce, garlic, broccoli, kale, cauliflower, carrots, onions, turnips, swiss chard, radishes, peppers, snow peas, green beans, egg plant, cilantro, basil, red lettuce, arugula, parsley, lemon balm, kohlrabi, cabbage, and lime mint. Yes it is safe to say that I have gotten very carried away. Everything is growing well and I am excited to see what type of veggies we turn out with.

Fall Gift Basket Made From Paper on the Cricut Machine

Fall is here and always brings out my crafty side. I recently discovered a new site for the Cricut machine @ http://www.svgcuts.com/. This site is seriously awesome and so easy to use. They also have free svg files I believe every week. The packages can be bought for about $6.99, which I think is totally worth it. My latest creation is this Fall basket. I have made several of these for gifts and really just love the way they look.

Pumpkin Cupcake Recipe

My sister-in-law made these pumpkin cupcakes a couple of weeks ago and they were so delicious. My husband was craving pumpkin pie today so I thought these would do the job. These cupcakes are so easy and super delicious.

Borax Free Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

About a week ago we ran out of dishwasher detergent and the dishwasher really needed to be run. My husband went online and found several recipes for homemade detergents and the one we have been using for the last week is awesome. Borax may be completely safe, however I am not completely convinced. This recipe is Borax free and still works great.
